Here is a review of what we have accomplished over the past year:

Presented historic house markers to the following properties: Nancy Grant House, ca.1855 (82 Market Street); N.W. Sanders House, ca. 1875 (39 Lyndon Street); Abraham Olive House, ca.1906 (73 King Street); Hatch Farmhouse, ca.1890 (98 Main Street); Wm & Elizabeth Winslow House, 1905 (6 Stonegate Road); Charles Wheaton Jr. House, ca. 1833 (33 Liberty Street); John C. Hoar/Hall House, 1846 (154 Water Street); and the George T. Greene House, ca.1855 (833 Main Street)

Led the fundraising effort to save the north chimney on our iconic 1890 town hall and donated $23,000 to the Town of Warren to help with the rebuilding efforts.

Supported the approval of Warren’s Comprehensive Plan, including removing the term “voluntary” from the Warren Historic District Commission.

Presented a special exhibit of slides from our collection entitled “Seldom Seen: Views from Warren’s Past” at our June membership meeting.

At our March membership meeting, we hosted a panel discussion about Warren’s affordable housing dilemma. The meeting focused on how the state’s affordable housing legislation influences new development, as well as addressed concerns about density and preserving historic character and scale.

Recently installed a new exhibit of vintage scenic town postcards in the lobby of Warren Town Hall. The exhibit was funded by a State Legislative Grant.

Participated in Warren Museum Day, the Warren Folks Fest, the Warren Walkabout, and the Warren Holiday Festival by distributing historic site maps and answering questions about preservation and local history.

We appreciate your support!
